All prices are in New Zealand currency.
Payment will be made by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or bank transfer. Please note service and processing fees may apply and will be charged to you.
Full payment to Travel Ed verifies that those included in your booking, meet the requirements as advertised on Travel Ed’s website or arranged programmes.
Cancellation
All cancellations must be received in writing and are subject to a cancellation fee. The written cancellation must be signed by someone with the authority to cancel the programme, usually the person who made the booking.
Day Tours
Booking Terms
Travel Ed will endeavour to provide the tour as advertised or agreed but reserve the right to change the itinerary based on conditions outside our control. These may include, but not restricted to
adverse road conditions
adverse weather conditions
unexpected unavailability of specific activities i.e. changes made by providers of attractions and activities. In such instances we will replace with similar options if available. We work closely with our partners to minimise changes
minimum number of guests not met. In such cases a full refund, or alternative tour may be negotiated
should you shorten the tour there is no refund given for the unused portion of the tour
PAYMENT
Full payment is required to confirm the tourCANCELLATION
Cancellation more than 14 days prior to departure 100% refund less $30 administration costs
Cancellation between 7 days and 14 days prior to departure 75% refund less administration $30 costs
Cancellation less than 7 days prior to departure, no refund
We understand that cancellations can occur due to illness or unexpected events. Travel Ed recommends that comprehensive travel insurance is taken out
Itinerary, pricing and all terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.
If Travel Ed are unable to provide your experience through our own fault, excluding ‘force majeure’, we will offer the following:
Refund in full less any non-refundable costs. Travel Ed will make every attempt to recover costs.
Multi-Day Experiences
Cancellation Terms
Travel Ed will charge a standard $200.00 administration fee for all cancellations.
Cancellations four weeks prior to the scheduled programme/tour start will be fully refunded, less any expenses incurred for non-refundable provider bookings.
Cancellations less than four weeks but more than two weeks prior to the scheduled programme/tour start will be refunded at 50% of the programme price, less any non-refundable provider bookings.
Cancellation less than two weeks before the day the programme/tour will result in no refund.
Changes
Travel Ed will endeavour to provide experiences as agreed or as advertised on our website, but should there be circumstances beyond our control, or legal, health or safety concerns, we reserve the right to modify conditions.
Changes may include but is not limited to, date, number of people or dietary requirements, may occur without charge provided the changes are prior to 14 days of the experience date. Any changes within 5 days of the experience will incur a 10% additional service fee.
Travel Ed will not modify experiences if those included in your booking:
Do not show at the start point on time.
Shorten the experience or opt out of tour activities, for any reason.
In such circumstances, no refund will be given.
Liability
TravelEd accept no responsibility for injury, damage or loss of personal possessions, except where we have legal obligation to do so.
Your booking confirms that you, and those included in your booking, hereby release, waive, discharge, hold blameless and indemnify Travel Ed and all persons entities and contractors connected to Travel Ed, from any and all liability for death, disability, physical or mental injury, property damage, theft or loss of personal items and all other foreseeable risks, claims or actions of any kind whatever and however occurring which may arise, at any time, from or in connection with, directly or indirectly, as a consequence or you carrying out an experience, tour, or service with Travel Ed. At time of booking, a medical form will be completed informing Travel Ed of any medical details that may adversely affect anyone included in your booking participation. Such medical conditions may include but is not limited to, allergies, asthma, pregnancy, chronic conditions, muscle strain, heart issues, body aches etc.
Health, Safety and Risk
You and those included in your booking agree to abide by Travel Ed and Travel Ed partners instructions always.
Special dietary requests must be advised at time of booking. Travel Ed and Travel Ed partners will endeavour to meet special requests, but if we are unable to do so, we will contact you to agree upon alternate arrangements.
Travel Ed reserves the right to cancel or remove you and/or those included in your booking, from an experience if health, fitness and/or behaviour interfere with other manuhiri (visitor/guest) experience or the general public in any way.
New Zealand Law
The law of this contract is the law of New Zealand.
As manuhiri (visitor/guest) of Travel Ed and Travel Ed partners you are required to abide by New Zealand law at all times.
General
Travel Ed reserves the right to use photographs or videos taken during experiences for promotional purposes. This may include, but is not limited to use online, in printed material or at public events.
