Customised Private Tour - April 2025
Travel Ed were fortunate to host 3 academic guests from Perth Australia on a 4 day customised private tour. They were attending a conference in Tauranga and were looking to broaden their experience of the location before the conference.
Wereta (Les) met them at Tauranga Airport and immediately immersed them in deep rooted Māori history, traditional food growing practices and culture of the Bay of Plenty. Our guests experienced an overnight stay in stunning rustic accomodation amongst avocado and kiwifruit orchards, a cultural performance in the geothermal valley followed up by a night at a lakeside lodge of pampered delight, a redwood forest experience, the amazing Hamilton Gardens, across the fertile Hauraki plains to the rugged beauty of the Coromandel, and, stunning quarry gardens on their way back to Tauranga. Their experience was made complete by enjoying an iconic New Zealand pie each from one of the most celebrated pie bakeries in New Zealand Aotearoa.
